My Opinion with the Nigerian definition of Leadership

See en, there is one school of thought by most people that I will always disagree with.. and that is this idea that the Nigerian people themselves are the problem of the country.

No sir/ma, I disagree, Nigerian problem is LEADERSHIP 100 percent. Nobody should tell me anything else. Let us just get our leadership right and see Nigeria blossom, it is that simple.

And I will tell you why in every part of the world, people will always want to get ahead of the system for their selfish reasons but the only thing that keeps most people in check is the laws that the leadership enforce not minding who ox is gored.

Leadership is all about making sure laws are followed, employ round squares in round holes, build institutions, communicate direction and every other thing will fall in line. Everybody seems to be praising the NDLEA today because Buba Marwa came in and somehow wants everything to work seamlessly without sentiments. Even when Buhari came in, there was this anti-corruption perception thing that made most institutions to sit up. It was when they noticed he is a dunce and he is as corrupt, then the free-for-all started.

It is the same corrupt staff in NDLEA that are sitting up when Marwa came in .. what changed?  Leadership. The same Dora Akunyili NAFDAC that was working fine went redundant after the new leadership came in, what changed? The same NAFDAC Staffs working under her were there. Terrible leadership can breakdown the strongest of institutions even when the people wants to act right...

Nigeria is in the mess it is today because we have clowns and terrible leaders starting from the Presidency to the LG Councillor that are just wicked.

The power that the presidency has in changing mindsets, building institutions and showing direction is very huge in this twisted federal system we currently operate. That is why most people like me focus on Buhari.

Just one good leader will change a whole lot of things in this country even the Nigerian people y'all want to blame (politicians enjoy it, this makes it easy to set us up against ourselves while they pillage our resources)

I pray we get this obvious fact.

As an addition and a statement of fact, the ONLY part, I mean the only part I blame the citizens for is when they deliberately refuse to hold leaders accountable for their misdemeanours because of religious, greed and tribal reasons.

A leader is fucking up obviously and you see some citizens supporting them stupidly because of what they stand to gain, that is where I draw the line.

Nigeria have millions of good people regardless, surprised that we behave so well when we travel out, yes that is I'm here having an argument with a friend telling me that leaders come from followers, I quite agree but they agreed to be leaders, nobody forced them. Leaders actually swear oaths of service of doing better.

So we abdicate our collective power of trust to them to act on our behalf. In plain words, we are simply telling leaders that we sold our individual rights and trust them enough to make better decisions on our behalf.. that is the power they wield, let them use that Leadership POWER to better us, not anything else.
